I noticed Alix on Chalk Farm Tube platform one morning in April 2010 looking rather extraordinary in a furry jacket printed with Mickey Mouses. Slightly nervous, I complimented her on her style and asked if she’d like to take part in the project. To my surprise she agreed more or less on the spot. She arrived for the first sitting looking extraordinary in a different way in pink gingham with a huge frilly petticoat, and a plastic bird’s nest in her coiffure.

Dennis, personal trainer to the stars, came aboard in August looking equally charismatic in his elegant suit.

I also discovered a surprising enjoyment in painting shoes and bags. You have to agree, such important items in all our lives deserve their own five minutes of fame.
